Welcome to First Missionary Baptist Church. Hopefully, this website will give you an overview of the ministries at First Missionary Baptist and will acquaint you with the work we are trying to accomplish for our Lord. Basically, our ministry may be summed up in five words: “loving God and loving people.”
Jesus said “the greatest commandment is to love God with all our heart, soul and mind” (Matt. 22:37). Jesus then said the second commandment is like the first and that we should love our neighbors as ourselves (Matt. 22:39). Jesus concluded, “On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets” (Matt. 22:40). Since loving God and loving people sums up the Old Testament, First Missionary Baptist believes that loving God and loving people is the foundation of the New Testament and is what every church should be about.
